#ImwithHer

So I have lots of reasons to vote for Hillary Clinton. She's qualified, her policies and values more or less match with mine, and I believe she is a far better human than she is given credit for.

But it wasn't until I saw last week's video of a woman voter crying over her vote that I felt emotionally invested in doing so. If you haven't seen it yet, I've included the link.

Up to this point, I felt like I maybe had an ok intellectual grasp on why voting for a woman President would mean so much to women. But witnessing the raw emotional release of this video clip made me realize there is a depth that I may never grasp, but I should try my best to appreciate.

I believe I would be remiss to not recognize my responsibility in doing my small part in helping make this reality happen. Because the fact that we haven't been able to cross this hurdle yet is silly.

So I'm proud to say #ImwithHer .

Measuring sticks

As you watch the debates tomorrow, remember the basic argument you're seeing everywhere:

1. The measuring bar for HRC is that she isn't the political version of Jesus, and therefore she is instead Satan.

2. The measuring bar for Donald Trump is that he isn't actually Hitler, so none of the bad things he has said or done are really so terrible.

3. The measuring bar for Johnson / Stein is that they are neither HRC or Trump, so they're actually decent choices regardless of the merit of their ideas.
