2016 Presidential Watch Rant - September #1

Raise your hand if you've ever had an older friend or relative try and do too much and get faint, tired, or otherwise ill.

Is your hand up? Congratulations, you now have the starting point to create an attitude of compassion and empathy.

Put your hand down if you don't think it's a big deal that a 68 year old woman with pneumonia on a hard campaign schedule accidentally over extended herself to attend a 9/11 memorial event.

Is your hand still up? Congratulations, you're a moron and lack empathy.

*This is a repost of something I wrote on Facebook regarding the overly dramatized incident with HRC at the NYC 9-11 event.

SNL 40

Man oh man, I haven't watched SNL in years, but we turned it on for the 40th anniversary episode tonight.

As as I am sure we'll see many people say tonight - the older the SNL cast member, the better they were. I wish they just let all the old cast members play, and left off anyone who's been a cast member in the last 10 years.

The future of the Enterprise PC

One of my favorite tech resource websites, Petri, has a great article on the future of the Enterprise PC. It does a great job walking the reader through the "history" (so to speak) of where we cam from when it comes to desktop computing.

I really think the end of the article nails it. The future of enterprise computing isn't really going to be about I.T. professionals controlling devices. It's going to be all about enabling safe and secure access to information with (hopefully) platform independent solutions. I don't think the work Microsoft is doing is as rosy as the author portrays it, but I do hope that they are able to release the mentioned products as discussed. My experience with researching these products is that there is a lot of TBA on feature releases.
